Glendale News Press Mailbag

March for Humanity is a noble undertaking

I must say Glendale City Council has been taking a beating in the Glendale News-Press Community Forum lately. Can't they do anything right? I haven't been attending their meetings for some time, but they use to do some things right when I did.

What I really wanted to do was congratulate the Armenian community for the actions being taken by the United Armenian Students group that is marching 3,000 miles on a "Journey For Humanity" ("Group marches for life," June 28). They say that they are encouraging anyone to join them. I think this is the best thing to happen since 90-year-old Mother "D"(Doris Haddock) did that trip for campaign finance. They might contact her and get some information on how she did it.

I would definitely encourage others to join them -- other than Armenians. It would be extremely beneficial to their cause and to relations between nationalities.

They are not just marching for their own good, but for the good of all humanity. Which includes all of us.
