Albrik Zohrabyan
Born: 1983 in Yerevan, Armenia
Profession: Photographer
Interests: Animals, music, Gypsy lifestyle, and collecting antique matches and watches

Albrik Zohrabyan began working as a volunteer in a photography lab at the age of fourteen. Inspired by his teacher and mentor in the lab, Albrik’s passion for photography has grown to become the chosen work of his life.

He attended and graduated the Hakop Paronian high school in Yerevan, where he developed a command for Armenian, Russian and Farsi. Albrik also received musical education, particularly, in playing the guitar, and graduated from the Aram Khachatryan School of Music in 1997. Furthermore, he spent three years studying at The School of Fine Arts, and graduated in 1998. This too was a medium of expression for Albrik, as he displayed his work in city-wide art exhibitions.

He immigrated to the United States in 2001, and attended a junior college, taking classes in photography and art history. Through his camera, he hopes to convey his perspective, demonstrating that what may be glanced over insignificantly by some, can be stunningly beautiful for him.

Albrik will continue studying photography and hopes to travel and collect as many faces of humanity as possible.

“In my experience with photo restoration, I’ve developed a dream to restore life, broken hearts, and broken dreams… To turn all the frowns into smiles and add color to the bleak. For that, there isn’t a Photo Editor powerful enough. We must love and develop a different sense of sight.”
